ENLS’s Pre-Looped Music Library

Resource ENLS’s Pre-Looped Music Library 2023-06-29

I was wondering if anyone here could help me out with some problems I had looping my own music that isn't included in the resource.

Based on tutorials I've found online and by reverse-engineering the tracks provided in the resource, I've attempted to loop my own music from sources not covered in the resource, such as Ultra Sun and Moon, Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, or Pokémon Masters. I feel like I understand the process well enough to do it on my own, but I find that the tracks I looped myself are often ending up not aligned properly and will skip when played in-game. I have checked over my loop points on these thoroughly in Audacity, and everything seems like it should work. Using the set LOOPSTART and LOOPLENGTH times to play it back in Audacity gives me a perfect loop, but not in the game. To add to the frustrations, the offset time is not consistent. One track is off by about five seconds, another is only about one second.

As a sanity check to make sure I actually understand how the process works, I tried recreating one of the loops provided in the resource myself from scratch. It worked perfectly in the game. The only difference I can possibly come up with between this recreation I made and the other ones I've had problems with is that the one I recreated came from an official soundtrack that I own, while the ones I'm having problems with came from internet downloads, as there is no official soundtrack available for them. I'm not at all sure how this could be relevant for the issue.

Anyone have any thoughts on what could be going here and what I might be doing wrong? I can provide one of the files I tried looping myself, if that would help.

Are you exporting it in OGG format with a sample rate of 44.1hz? I had issues where I was exporting it with 48k and that was causing the incorrect looping for me.

That is exactly the issue I was having. I was exporting as an OGG, but with 48 kHz as well. Thanks for responding. Somehow, in all my searching for a fix for the problem, the 44.1 kHz thing never came up.
