I thought this would be a cool discussion topic to put up here.

Who do you think is the strongest NPC in the Pokemon Franchise? It can be anyone from a Gym Leader to Elite Four to Rival to Champion - including Trial Captains and Kahunas.

Cynthia, obviously

Their best team

Spiritomb, Roserade, Togekiss, Lucario, Milotic and that god damned Garchomp

Strategies

Annoy you with Spiritomb, Togekiss and Milotic, enrage you with Roserade and Lucario and end your life with Garchomp

How hard were they for you to beat?

I'd rather not think about that.

Why have you chosen this person?

Because I've had to reset against Cynthia more than the rest of the champions in Pokémon put together.

Ghetsis from b/w

Their best team:
The dumb under levelled evolved pokemon that made the battle way more difficult than it needed to be!

Strategies:
No real strategy, just over power you really

How hard were they for you to beat?:
It was the only real time I had to stop and level up before returning

Why have you chosen this person?:
a lot of the pokemon games lately have super easy battles, and no real challenge anymore, but this one stood out as a difficult and memorable fight to me.
