WELCOME TO ISLE FLORA!
WAYYY off the coast of Sinnoh is an itty, bitty island called "Isle Flora!" Year-round, a festival is held to honor the mythical Pokémon Shaymin!
This is called the "Gracidea Festival!"
Play as a young trainer who will challenge the Flowerkeepers of the Gracidea Festival, an important rite on the isle.

Well I completed the game and completed the dex! (with a little bit of cheating but I'll get into that below)
Really liked the game! Really cute and I think you did the flowery theme perfectly, the game feels like a nice complete package and the balance through the main game feels really good. I like the change you made to grass types not resisting eachother, I think that was something very much needed for a game where every pokemon is a flower, so it was good of you to realise that.

I have a few minor critiques, and some of them only apply to the post game, but yeah I really did enjoy this game, you did a great job!

-A lot of the pokemon have moves like leech seed, stunspore, sleep powder and so on, but they don't effect grass type pokemon. Similar to the change you made of grass not resisting grass I think having these moves now be able to affect grass types would be a good change because otherwise they are nearly worthless

-Money and xp in the post game is really hard to manage. It makes filling in the pokedex near impossible. I managed to catch every pokemon but at the end I had no money left and only 5 premier balls, it was super close to me being soft locked out of 100%ing the game. And then grinding to level up all the pokemon is really sluggish, I think it would've been nice if you could've rematched the final 4 trainers in the chambers, that way grinding would be more fun, and it would also solve the money problem. I nearly nearly finished the pokedex cheat free, but then I realised lileep evolved at level 40 and I decided to give in because otherwise I would've spent an extra hour grinding lileep alone.

All that being said, you can see that for the most part my problems are only with the OPTIONAL post game, and already this game would be impressive for a game made in 40 days, let alone 10. So you've done a really good job here waluigi, I really enjoyed playing it :)
 
Is the Florgesium Z specific to only some type of Florges ? Because I have a yellow flower Florges with Moonblast and it reads unable and when I try to add it anyway it says "this pokemon can't currently use this crystal's z power". I've already gotten the 2nd flower cuff and about to get the 3rd. Is it because I don't have all the cuffs?
 
I had a blast playing this game!! Part of me wants to replay the game, but the other part does not want to lose my save data 🤔

Pokémon Flower Jam v0.1.0 has just been released!
This update includes and fixes a few little things, however, I forgot to fix some other minor things, so sorry about that!

FIXES:
-Fixed some minor tileset priority bugs that were a bit annoying to look at if walked on.
-Fixed a minor event issue that would play even after starting Normal Mode.

ADDITIONS:
-After completing each Notebook Milestone, you are now additionally rewarded with some money (5000 for Normal, 2500 for Hard.)
-Special extra dialogue from Hyacinth after completing the postgame.

TO BE FIXED... EVENTUALLY?
-Florges Z-move only working with Yellow Florges.
-Bellossom Z-move having strange functionality.
-Weird trainer repeat battle.
 
I've been going on a bit of a fan game kick recently, and let me tell ya I did NOT expect a game with only flower-based Pokémon to be so fun. (Nothing against flowers, they just ain't my style.) But this game is just LOVELY, and I don't use the word lovely much but there isn't a better way to describe this. Looks good, just a dash of new features, and a decent challenge too. I do wish I could've gotten hisuian lilligant naturally rather than just as a gift, but thats nitpicky and idk maybe it's a pain to make split evos like that.
 
This game was the definition of short but sweet <3

The story was simple, yet fun, exactly something a game like this needs. I have to admit, I did not expect to fight against the proffesor, my bet was on the girl next to him as the 'champion' of the game XD

I love the pastel colors of everything, it's coherent, and the tiles are absolutely gorgeous. But I have to say the fakemon design takes the cake here.

They didn't look like fakemons, which was the best part. I can actually see those Pokémon in the real games. The sunnstalk's hydra-esque design is perfect in every way possible. Cretassom is just straight up a canon Pokémon and I spent 13 minutes hunting for timberry cuz I kept accidentally killing them XD

The pokemon selection was the most fun part for me, though. Glimmora, meganium, sunflora were all Pokémon I have never used before until this game. (Okay, I did have a meganium at one point in another game, but that was for like 3 battles before I replaced it XD)

It is a good thing that the island isn't too big cuz it took me touring twice for the ominous girl before I finally checked my house XD I also never used a hisuan lilligant before, so that was a nice surprise as well

Overall loved it, my only complaint is the sunlight could be a little less harsh on the right area XD
