You're my favourite person right now. Thank you SO much, I'm going to have a blast playing around with this! So many headaches avoided. I'll definitely come back and report ant bugs if I find them. :)

Edit: Had a crash where opening the Debug Menu's NPC selector for editing variables or switches and backing out without selecting an NPC led to a LocalJumpError - unexpected return (Debug.rb, line 58 for variables). Solved it by putting those two in do loops!

Nice that you like it, line 120 and line 58 caused the same error, but should be fixed now, thanks for your feedback <3
