After a little more testing we've isolated it down to animations, did you happen to get it whilst running through something like grass or a ledge, whilst returning the speed to normal?
Can you give us a bit more detail about what's going on on the map when this occurs? We haven't been able to reproduce the error on our end. (Also sorry for the late reply)

The messages script apparently had some changes in v21, so I went through it and used it to update the script. Didn't fully test all the writing options so there may be some issues, though stuff like text delays seem to be way faster for whatever reason. Might be something inherent to v21...
Huh, that last one's new. Never heard of that happening before. As for the Trade Cable, I know for a fact it's a doubles Belltower reward since I set that up recently.
I'm a little confused about how we add menu entries since this big official 20.1 update. Used to have the quest log on a 19.1 game but not sure how to re-add that for a v20.1 update
Alright, take 3. With help from Vendily and Rey, I identified the issue (and simplified the method). They should be rewarded randomly by another guy in between the two belltower npcs now, as level 5s instead of eggs.

sorry for the late reply again, I've seen and sorted the first two issues. as for the last one, essentials has a weird issue with return to title screen since mkxp came into play apparently, but just restarting the game (not the save) should fix it
