    Released POKEMON ANGELITE DEMO 1.0

As others have stated, it looks like the game's all over the place graphically. Such as the tiles: it looks like there's a mix between tiles that have been up-scaled properly, tiles that aren't upscaled, and tiles that look like default RMXP tiles. Personally, I would recommend finding which...

Iron Mapper IRON MAPPER: Season 3 Discussion

Well, as the judging for the Game Jam is currently underway, it'll probably be a little bit. Once the Jam has kinda died down, probably.

    Releasing a Game

After about two years and a couple of game releases, I've had to learn quite a bit about releasing a game. I've had to learn how to properly set up the game to be uploaded - encrypting and all that - and have to had struggle to get that right. And as it turns out, the way you compress your game...

Entertainment Pokemon Quiz - Are you a noob or a pro?

Well, I took the tests (or two, rather - the General Pokemon Quiz didn't work for me), and the results are in: I'm a nerd. Name All 151 Results: I got 143 right in 11:49. The eight I missed were because of spelling. Flippin' spelling. Jigglypugg anyone? What Pokemon Are You Results...

    Completed Hitmon! Jam

Sadly I have not had the chance to play it yet nor have I seen the game in its complete form despite having done some small work for it, but from what I have seen thus far, this game is purely amazing. Though I did help out, the kudos goes to the rest of the team. They all put in far more work...

    Difficulty

Bit of a short answer right now, but I'm a little short on time. Personally, I aim for our game to be a bit on the easier side, most of the time. I would rather have a player breeze through the game than to have to slowly grind their way through it. Plus it makes playtesting a lot easier on me...

Can fan games without new pokemon get popular?

That's a whole different thing in itself. That depends on what you're capable of doing. People won't join a developer that doesn't know how to make a game.

    Sinnoh

I like Sinnoh. Platinum was my first Pokemon game, so I consider Sinnoh my home region, in a way. Looking back, I think one of the things I really liked about Sinnoh is that the Legendary Pokemon really felt like they had authority. I mean, Hoenn had things like a Pokemon that could expand...

    Little Parts of Fan Games

Personally, I aim to have Move Tutors fairly commonly, but each one can teach different moves. Like, the farther you get into a game, the better the moves they can teach become. Another thing that I'm thinking of doing is having Move Tutors teach unique custom moves. Makes them more interesting...

    Arrangement of tall grass

Personally, I aim to do a bit of both when I map. This is what my usual tall grass patch looks like: It has a couple of small gaps in there for some small decoration, but it's typically all connected together while not being entirely blocky and square.

Yes. You should really read through the overview of this system - it pretty much tells you all you need to know.

Could potentially be because you haven't discovered any quests... Make sure that you have quests defined in the Quest.txt and that they're activated before seeing if you've discovered them.

Yeah, you get badges. I pointed you to the wrong thread it seems. This is where you should look. All the details are there.

Game Jam Game Jam #3: Discussion

The Game Jam is an event held every summer where people make short games. You typically have a month (June 30th - August 10th, in this case) to make a game to submit. The details should be on the first post of this thread.

Hm. There are just over 500 members on the site. That means that we're going to have at most 500 entries. My numbers could be a little on the low side, though.

A Speed-up button in Fan Games. (Do or Don't)

I think I could go either way on this. I mean, I doubt I'd add one in, but it wouldn't be the end of the world to add it. My biggest concern would be that players would just breeze through the game, not really bothering to talk to people or interact with things. I put a lot of effort into making...
