Generation 3 Styled Sinnoh Exterior and Cave Maps

any version Generation 3 Styled Sinnoh Exterior and Cave Maps 1.1

This resource does not pertain to any specific version of Pokémon Essentials.
Pokémon Essentials Version
Non-applicable
While I was making Pokémon Mineral, I created most of Sinnoh's maps for it and I decided to make the rest of them and turn it into a public resource for more people to use. Because someone thought I had used a resource as I made a lot of them in a short time, and I then thought it was a good idea. I forgot who said that though.

Features:
Every outside map and cave from Sinnoh in gen 3's style.
Possibly included map connections, if the PBS is enough. I made the rest of the maps without Essentials and connected them in Mineral so it might not work.
Tilesets and complete data for them.
Loopable music, but not the code to loop them.
Platinum's encounters but with the dual slot ones changed to the Poké Rader.
Platinum's items located as accurately as I could get. Some weren't shown on Bulbapedia's images, and I had also already grabbed them before making this.
Working Turnback Cave.

Installation:
1. Download and unzip the file and put everything in an unchanged version of Pokémon Essentials for the easiest use. If you don't do that, you might lose some of your creations in the game without changing the file names.
2. If the variables aren't included, then create variables 78, 79, and 80 for Turnback Cave. Name them "turnback cave room", "turnback cave returner", and "turnback cave rooms entered" or something else so you know what they are. Unless you really want to edit a hundred events to change the variables to different ones. I had to edit all of them twice, and both times it was boring and took forever.
2.5. If the variables are included, then you'll have to rename all of the Pokémon Essentials ones because I made these maps without it so they aren't there and will be renamed to nothing.

If you want the rock climbing to work, I used this plugin for it. The instructions for it were a bit wrong so instead of using terrain tags 17 and 18, use 18 and 19 because otherwise it overlaps with one of Pokémon Essentials' terrain tags. Or use whatever ones you aren't using.

  1. Fixed data

Removed some data from the files so it doesn't replace Essential's and crash the game.

Latest reviews

A very good base for making games set in Sinnoh!
The only problems are a few black borders showing up and some rather unfitting tiles in towns, but these can all be remedied by people using the resource.
