Same as the original emerald. You battle the gym leader and go to Granite Cave to find steven and hand him the letter. Once you do that talk to Mr. Briney and go to Slateport. Old rod can be found in Dewford Town. Talk to the fisherman.

I'm pretty sure thats how the randomizer works. One Pokemon will be replaced with another through the entire playthorugh. As for the starter Pokemon that is a small issue as the two plugins used don't integrate great. You can go in your pokemon moves and relearn what they actually should.

Not really understanding why that error happens. Did you by chance remove the graphics folder from the games root? Apparently that could be a cause. Thats all I could find online about it though. Try downloading the non sound version just to check I guess. Not really sure.

What device are you playing on? Mac by chance? This error hasnt occurred for anyone I've seen on windows. Not really sure whats wrong. Maybe an old pc as well could be contributing?

I never edited any pokemon being banned which means Pokemon essentials probably bans those specific pokemon by default. The battle tower documents are very confusing so I never edited them.
